EzROS Connectivity and Services

When devices are attached to a compute unit, XenseGripper uses EzROS nodes for control and status transport. Put the computer and compute unit on the same LAN, then discover the device MAC, service name, and action name.

Query and test

CLI options vary between EzROS releases. A common workflow is:

# Scan for visible devices (check the help of your installed version)
ezros --help
ezros -a

# Query service help
ezros service --help

From Python, call directly:

Responses usually contain {"success": True, "ret": ...}. If a remote call fails, check the IP address, service state, and firewall rules.
